PREAMBLE:

INEC, empowered by Section 28 (1) of the Electoral Act 2022 and Section 178 (2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) issued the Notice for the elections including this Timetable and Schedule of Activities for 2023 Governorship Elections in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States as follows:


1:  NOTICE OF ELECTION

14th November 2022

2: Conduct Of Party Primaries Including Resolution Of Disputes Arising From The Primaries:

Commencement Date: 

27th March 2023

 Ending Date:

17th April 2023

3: Submission Of Forms EC9 AND EC9B Online (Nomination Portal)

9:00am 24th April to 6.00pm 5th May 2023

Access code for the submission of nomination forms shall be available for collection from

17th April, 2023 at the Commission's Headquarters.

4: Publication Of Personal Particulars Of Candidates (EC9) By The Commission

12th May 2023

5: Last Day For Withdrawal By Candidate(s)/Replacement Of Withdrawn Candidate(s) By Political Parties: 26th May 2023

6:  Last Day For Submission Of Nomination Forms (EC13A, EC13B, EC13C, EC13D & EC13E) By Political Parties:

2nd June 2023

7: Publication Of Final List Of Nominated Candidates By The Commission: 

9th June 2023

8: Commencement Of Campaign By Political Parties In Public; 14th June 2023

9: LAST DAY FOR SUBMISSION OF NAMES OF Polling Agents For The Election To The Electoral Officer Of The Local Government Area By Political Parties:

10: Publication Of Official Register Of Voters For The Election By The Commission:
