Alimosho Youth Assembly Congratulates New Education Secretary, Alimosho LGEA, Celebrates Isheri-Olofin Throne.
The Speaker of the Alimosho Youth Assembly, Rt. Hon. Amb. Ibrahim Olawale Seriki, has congratulated Dr. Aminat Olawumi Ige Lawal-Bello on her appointment as the Education Secretary (ES) of Alimosho Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), describing the development as a strategic win for education administration in Nigeria’s most populated local government.
In a congratulatory statement made available to the media, the Youth Assembly Speaker also celebrated the Isheri-Olofin throne, led by His Royal Majesty, HRM Oba (Dr.) Ibrahim Olasunkanmi Lawal Bello, Olanwa I, Olofin V, noting that the monarch has remained a consistent promoter and advocate of academic excellence and human capital development at all levels.
Rt. Hon. Seriki, who also doubles as the Director of Communications and Strategy to the Oba of Isheri-Olofin Kingdom praised Dr. Aminat’s appointment as a clear demonstration of merit and excellence, highlighting her exceptional academic background, which includes a Doctorate in Mathematics and the Overall Best PhD Thesis Award from the University of Lagos. According to him, her intellectual depth, discipline, and professional capacity make her well-suited to lead education administration in a complex and highly populated constituency like Alimosho.
He further commended the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) for what he described as a deliberate and commendable decision to prioritize competence and proven capacity in appointing leadership for Alimosho LGEA.
Dr. Aminat Ige Lawal-Bello assumes office as Education Secretary with oversight responsibility for over 70 public primary schools and more than 1,000 teachers across Alimosho Federal Constituency, a jurisdiction widely regarded as the largest and most densely populated in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
The Speaker assured the new Education Secretary of the full support and partnership of the Alimosho Youth Assembly, pledging collaboration aimed at improving learning outcomes, strengthening school administration, and driving innovation across the constituency’s basic education sector.
Describing the appointment as timely, resourceful, impactful, and strategic, Rt. Hon. Seriki expressed optimism that the combination of royal support, youth engagement, and institutional leadership would translate into measurable progress across schools in Alimosho Local Government Area.
He also urged the Education Secretary to remain open to productive, inclusive and progressive collaboration with key stakeholders, particularly reputable youth organizations and community-based institutions, in order to transition and position Alimosho at the forefront of Lagos State’s educational performance rankings.
