VICE CHAIRMAN AGBADO OKEODO ATTACKED AND BRUTALIZED.



The Vice Chairman of Agbado Okeodo LCDA in Alimosho Local Government, Hon Ajoke Moromoke Aminat Obe popularly called AMA, was attacked by an armed group at the tail end of the third mainland bridge yesterday around 10 pm, according to her, she was coming from the meeting on the island and was about dropping off a friend along the stretch road when some youth about Four in numbers with several dangerous weapons, knife, cutlasses, and gun accosted her, broke her SUV side mirror and made away with her bag that contains valuables goods, while she sustain several bodily injuries from the attack.


In her accounts, Hon Ajoke Moromoke Aminat recounted, that the incident happened at about 10 pm, and she was in traffic for about three hours before the attack. "I had dropped off a friend in Oworo, though I would not have passed through that place as the location is becoming notorious for armed groups. 

I reported the incident at Alausa police station as it was late but was told to go to Ketu police station.

The officers I met were very kind. They gave me water to wash the blood off my body.

I am just going to report in Ketu after going to the hospital as I am still in shock, it was like a horror film as I lost my bag containing my ATM, Money Phone, and some documents, she recalled  

 

An eyewitness who was watching from afar confirmed that, the spot the incident happens has been severely flagged as a dangerous spot, and that all effort by the police and the government to curtain the menace of those boys has always proven abortive. There are incidents of that nature almost twice every day, the people of the area are helpless because of the daredevil nature of the boys. 



The armed boys always seize the opportunity availed them during the snare movement of vehicles along that route during the closing period of workers traveling from the island towards the mainland using the third mainland bridge. 



The people of the area call on the Lagos state government, and Nigeria police force to as a matter of urgency deploy high-level security apparatus to the area. They narrated that, if a government official can be that brazenly attacked, ordinary citizens are helpless.
