"Fellow Nigerians, esteemed residents of Lagos Island,

Today, October 1st, marks a significant milestone in our nation's history - 64 years of independence. We gather to commemorate this momentous occasion, reflecting on our collective journey, achievements, and aspirations.

As we celebrate our freedom, we honor the visionaries who fought tirelessly for our nation's sovereignty. Their selfless sacrifices paved the way for our progress and inspired generations to strive for excellence.

As your councilorship aspirant for Lagos Island Local Government, I reaffirm my unwavering commitment to serving our community. My mission is to ensure that our local government becomes a beacon of hope, progress, and unity.

To achieve this vision, I pledge to:

1. Empower our youth through quality education, skills development, and entrepreneurship opportunities.

2. Enhance infrastructure and public services, ensuring access to clean water, reliable electricity, and efficient transportation.

3. Foster unity and inclusivity among our diverse communities, promoting cultural exchange and social cohesion.

4. Support small businesses and local entrepreneurs, driving economic growth and job creation.

5. Ensure accountability and transparency in governance, listening to your concerns and addressing them promptly.


Let us draw inspiration from our nation's resilience and determination. Together, we can build a Lagos Island that is:

Prosperous: with opportunities for all
Peaceful: with harmony among our communities

As we celebrate our independence, let us recommit to the values that unite us:
