I'm deeply saddened by the devastating tanker tragedy that occurred on Saturday, along the Minna-Suleja highway in Niger State. According to eyewitnesses and news reports, the tanker, which was carrying premium motor spirit (PMS), lost control and exploded, resulting in a massive fire that engulfed several vehicles and nearby buildings. The incident has left a trail of destruction and despair in its wake, with multiple lives lost and many more injured. The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) strongly condemns this policy, which restricts scholarship opportunities to only Bachelor's degree holders. This unjust and unfair practice denies HND holders their rightful place in the workforce, despite their rigorous academic training and valuable skills.
